AIAA AUST Student Branch Proudly Presents 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐎𝐧𝐞: 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧
This competition is designed to challenge your creativity, analytical thinking, and execution planning skills where ideas are not just imagined, but engineered.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧?
Engineering Showdown is a two-stage project ideation and presentation competition where participants will:
• Generate a pragmatic and original engineering project idea
• Develop a structured and feasible execution roadmap
• Present and defend their project plan professionally
𝐍𝐨 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 !! 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜, 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝟏: 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝):
Each team must submit a detailed project proposal clearly outlining the originality and potential impact of their idea. Your proposal should include -
• Problem statement and motivation
• Description of the innovation and its potential impact
• Project functionality and intended applications
• Execution plan, including working principle and system flow
• List of required components, sensors, transducers, and tools
• Expected outcomes and possible future improvements
• Please ensure that all information is clear, precise, and technically sound.
𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞:
• The core project idea must be entirely original and developed by the team.
• The use of AI tools to generate the main idea is strictly prohibited.
• AI assistants may only be used for grammatical correction and technical writing support.
𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚:
• Participation is open to AUST students only (individual or team participation allowed).
• Each team may consist of a maximum of three members.
• A participant may be part of only one team.

• 𝟐 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: Initial Project Idea Submission Deadline (Screening Round)
• 𝟒-𝟕 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: Final PPT Submission (After idea screening)
• 𝟖 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡,𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: Final Presentation & Evaluation Round
